From the age of 15, I aspired to become a psychologist. After completing my Bachelor’s Honours degree in Psychology in England, I began my career in the field. I later completed a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology at Macquarie University in Sydney. Since then, I have worked both overseas and in Sydney with individuals, couples, and families experiencing a wide range of mental health difficulties. Over the past 20 years, I have focused increasingly on individual therapy with adults, reflecting my interest in specialising within this age group.
I work with adults experiencing depression, anxiety, and trauma, with particular expertise in complex trauma. My approach is grounded in evidence-based therapies that promote meaningful and lasting change. I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy and Imagery Reprocessing Rescripting Therapy (IRRT)and integrate them where appropriate to support recovery from traumatic experiences. I am registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and am a member of the Australian Psychological Society and the College of Clinical Psychologists. In addition, I am a certified Clinical Neuro-Psychotherapy Practitioner and an AHPRA-approved Clinical Supervisor.
Outside of my work as a psychologist, I’m a proud mother of two teenage boys. I understand firsthand the challenges many parents face, and I believe that my experiences as a mother have enriched my work as a therapist. I’m passionate about living a balanced and healthy lifestyle, and I enjoy cooking, spending time in nature, practising yoga and meditation, and connecting with others. I value gratitude and simplicity, and I see life’s challenges as meaningful opportunities for personal growth.
